HALO: it just gets more and more beautiful as you play it. And it just eats up the time - I sat down last night at about 12 planning to play until 1 and the next time I looked up it was 3:30 and I almost fell asleep walking to my room. By my rekoning it makes it a great game - to be so enthralled by it. I had fun exploring the island in It's Quiet Here.... [or whatever it's called] manged to kill a few marines and then had to kill em all as they kept trying to kill me - hey I'm still gettng the hang of the warthog, and it's not like it's a stealth warthog, they could have jumped out the way sooner.

In other news - worked late yesterday but enjoyed it a lot - worked on the schools new reporting system, worked out how it functions, solved a few problems, and began to make it look nice and be useable. No classes and no interruptions from about midday until 8pm was so nice. Think I could easily get used to it. Maybe it's time for a change of job. [Comment] [GuestBook] [Archive]

The Paper has been updated to Issue 180 - has pictures from the Water Fun Night [swimming carnival] which was won by us once again - well done guys.

Coming soon Timelapse movie of us unpacking and playing our first game of the XBOX.

I am so tired, I hope to squeeze in a bit of halo before going to bed - but it all depends on when Steve shuffles off to bed.

The weekend can't get here quick enough. [Comment] [GuestBook] [Archive]

XBOX is here! Picked up our box at midnight and raced home to play HALO. YEAH! Very cool, much as I had read about it. The world is simply stunning although the interiors are a bit dull at times.

I am very very tired and still have many things to do - so talk to you later. Probably spend the weekend enjoying Halo. [Comment] [GuestBook] [Archive]

Oh I am such a mean man - check out the Preators blogg and you will see that my "cheap" web cam now has amazing quality enhancements - actually the main enhancement was plugging in the Song Video Camera I am borrowing from Boys' Brigade and connecting it to my Mac.

But what this means for you is that Thursday morning AU time you will see crystal clear images of Rob and I playing the XBox. Probably start with shots of the "unpacking" and then plug the camera straight into the TV and send out live every 30 seconds shots of Rob and myself playing HALO!!!

Just have to somehow survive tomorrow at work and then Bible Study and then the 2 hours before we can go and pick it up.

See you then. [Comment] [GuestBook] [Archive]

The church consultation is over and we have a vision statement for our church. Has been worthwhile? Well I guess we will see, the hard part now is selling it and using it to filter everything we do through it. Oh and I guess the real hard work has to begin within myself. I don't have it with me right now and I have only heard it once or twice so it's not quite in my head.

Trusting God all the time is easy to type but hard to do. Especially when things aren't going the way that I think is right or in a way that makes sense to me. And yet that is when my faith really comes into play - just as being loving only really comes into it's own when you are trying to deal with 'difficult' people. But time and time again God has shown himself trustworthy - not just cos everything worked out fine but because in time I have been able to look back and see a little of what God has been doing.

But in the end, in fact in the midst of hard times, that is when I most have to trust God and yet that is when it is the hardest. But as I remember His promises, as I remember what He has done for me - as I remember that He is the one in control, then I find that my heart begins to ease and I find the peace I seek. Circumstances occur just as God wants them too, bringing about the plan of the one who made us all and keeps us going, and sent His own son to die for us - what better way to show His love.

God is good. [Comment] [GuestBook] [Archive]
