How Do I Become A Christian?

To believe that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your rebellion against God and that he rose again. To tell God that you want forgiveness and Him to be ruler of your life again - the way he should be.

You could become a christian right now just by prayng this prayer or one like it. Prayer is just talking to God - you don't have to close your eyes or bow your head, but if it helps then do it.

PRAYER.... God, I admit that I have rejected you as the creator of this universe and as the rightful ruler of my life. I am sorry and ask that you forgive me.
I understand that I am forgiven for my rebellion, not because of anything I have done, but because Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for my rebellion.
I believe that Jesus died for me.
I thank you that I am forgiven and I now want you to be the ruler of my live and I want to do what you want- I want to live your way.
Thank you that I can call you father and thank you for Jesus. AMEN.

After that you then need to change your life - because now you have acknowledged that God is God, then that means that he is now the one in charge of your life and so now you serve him and do things that bring glory to him.

The great thing about being a christian is that you are now able to talk to God without fear, without thinking that you arent't good enough. God has died for you - he must love you. You might die for a close relative but who would die for an enemy - only a God who really loved us would die for us when we don't deserve it.
