STATE CORNERBALL COMPETITION

Beautifully attired and in good voice we set of to Presbyterian Ladies College Croyden to do battle. With a lot of belly showing and cheers [when we did get a tag] morale was high - unfortunately the other teams were better cornerballers on the night. However one ref was heard to comment "I like their attitude to the game".

Church Parade - went off! "The best one for a long time" And that is all due to the efforts of the Boys and Girls involved. "Warren's testimony was very encouraging" , Houghdy said [3 times]. Warricks prayer was right to the point. PeterD led us through the evening most ably. The singing sounded excellent [again]. So lets pat ourselves on the back for a good job.

LAST WEEK: you might have noticed Chris Cooper [among many others] was away. Well Chris wasn't sick he was competing in the CHS State Gymnastics. And it was GOLD!, GOLD!, GOLD! for Chris - the winner in his division. He has only been competing this year so this makes it an even more amazing feat. The full result 1st - vault, parallel bars; 2nd floor, ring, pommel; No Place - high bar. And all this done carrying an injured finger. Well done Chris!

SEPTEMBER 19th [Friday Night] - Battalion Touch Footy Comp.
OCTOBER 3rd to 6th - Long Weekend Camp [Hike???] Activity.
Correction: last week, our on the spot reporter collected the wrong info. The GB who helped us out at the opening of Brigade house was Rachael not Rachel. Sorry about that.
