Beach Camp A Highlight

Always looked forward to, the Annual GB/BB Combined Beach Camp is swiftly approaching. This is now the 4th time we have held this camp.

This year we are heading up North to Munmorah State Recreation Area. Bring along your Boards [of any description], and heaps of sunscreen and a hat.

This weeks pictures come to us from last years beach camp.

In them we can see Dave Fletcher enjoying a pancake for Breakfast "I cooked it myself!", Warren Yu getting some expert driving advice from Stephen Chensee and Warwick and Steven Dearth enjoying the cool waters of the lake near last years camp site.

Thanksgiving Day

When it becomes Thursday in the USA this week, they will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day. This day commemorates the Pilgrim Fathers landing in America and beginning the community which would one day become the USA.

The Pilgrim Fathers, came to America fleeing persecution for believing the same things that we do about God and His Son Jesus.

They hoped to start a new country founded on Christian principles. [Whether that has happened or not is another question.]

Today thanksgiving is a day were they are supposed to be thanking God for the good things he has done for them in the year before.

As our year comes to an end, it would be a great thing for us to do the same, to reflect upon our year and praise God for the things he has done for us, what he has taught us, for when he has protected us, for the blessings he has poured out on us in relationships and also in material ways.

So, tonight especially, but really every day, praise God for the good things he has done.

Parents, Relatives and Friends Invited.

Matty's Magical Mystery Tour
Non-uniform night.
7 - 930 pm at the church.

Where Are They Now?

Monday Morning. Peter Konchenko went for, and got, his P's. Well done Peter.

The Paper was there with his Mother and Brother the first time he backed out of the driveway.

"Take care of it it's the only car we have at the moment," were his mothers words as went to drive over for some tutoring. "I hope he drives out the driveway the way I taught him," her comment to me as he began to go.

Peter will also be around this week and on Dec 11 to help us with our song for the Outdoor Christmas Service.
