Prayer Point Update

In The Paper of 6/11/97 [The one with Matts new car in it] I shared a prayer point about a Boy in the States who had his leg bitten off by a shark. This week I got an update about the Boy...

Greetings Brendan,

I am happy to tell you that Mike Koonts is out of the hospital, flying around on crutches (he was at our youth meeting last night) and looking forward to his "fakey foot" at the end of the month.

He is back to editing video for the surf team he is part of and wants to get back in the water as soon as possible.

His attitude is still great and his parents have been more than impressed by the support of the Christian community. Pray for them as they have not yet committed their lives to Christ.

Thanks for the prayers and support.

Rick

From the Net - Music News.

After last weeks issue went to press I got some more news about the band World Wide Message Tribe which Steven Dearth had spoken to me about.

The World Wide Message Tribe.
Heatseeker.

This album is on the cutting edge of dance music, and goes off! Musically they vary in styles from the club retro sound to the hard and fast sounds of bands like Prodigy.

Lyrically the guys don't hold back with a challenge in every song from a scriptural base. In Hypocrite, one of the more intense numbers, they exhort us to take a stand against injustice ... Or in Everything I Need we are encouraged in our relationship with God. "I no longer feel like I'm alone, His mighty hand leading me to my rightful home, 'Cos I believe I'm part of His masterplan, He keeps encouraging me to be a new man".

...

They have become Europe's most popular Christian dance band.

CD $29.95 from Koorong.
